The 1N4002 rectifier diode are general purpose power diodes useful for many applications including AC to DC rectification and reverse power protection.

The 1N4002 are a very commonly used power diode and are often used for reverse voltage protection on DC input circuits and also used in many power applications such as DC-DC converters.

The 1N4002 can handle up to 100V reverse voltage and up to 1A of continuous current with a surge peak of 30A.  If a higher reverse voltage is needed, check out our 1N4003 or 1N4004 which can handle 200V and 400V respectively.

1N4002 are polarized axial-leaded devices with a silver band denoting the cathode end of the diode.
