Strain Relief Clamp for Flat Ribbon Cable SRF-40 — 2-Pack
A strain relief clamp for flat ribbon cables (SRF-40) — pack of 2. Strain relief clamps prevent cable pull-out forces from reaching the connector crimp or solder joint, dramatically extending the service life of ribbon cable assemblies. The SRF-40 clamps onto the flat ribbon cable body and mounts to the connector housing, transferring any cable tension to the clamp rather than the electrical connections.
Key Specifications
- Type: Strain relief clamp for flat ribbon cable
- Model: SRF-40
- Compatible: Flat ribbon cable / IDC cable assemblies
- Material: Nylon (UL94 V-2)
- Pack: 2 clamps
- Compliance: RoHS compliant
Why Use Strain Relief?
- ✅ Prevents connector damage — cable tension goes to clamp, not crimp contacts
- ✅ Extends cable life — prevents repeated flexing at the connector joint
- ✅ Professional assembly — required for UL/CE compliant cable assemblies
- ✅ Easy installation — snaps onto ribbon cable and connector housing
Typical Applications
- IDC ribbon cable assembly strain relief
- FFC flat flexible cable connector strain relief
- Industrial ribbon cable harness assembly
