Machined Round Female Pin Header 1×40 Break-Away — 2.54mm
A 1×40 break-away machined round female pin header with precision machined round contacts — the premium alternative to stamped female headers. Machined contacts provide lower insertion force, better contact retention, and longer cycle life than stamped contacts. Ideal for socketing ICs, modules, and components that require frequent removal. Snaps to any length from 1 to 40 pins.
Key Specifications
- Configuration: 1×40 (40-pin, single row, break-away) | Pitch: 2.54mm
- Contact type: Machined round (precision)
- Accepts: Round pins and standard square pins
- Current: 3A per pin | Voltage: 250V
- Compliance: RoHS compliant
Machined vs Stamped Contacts
- ✅ Machined round contacts — lower insertion force, better retention, longer cycle life
- ✅ Accepts round and square pins — compatible with machined round pin headers and standard headers
- ✅ Precision tolerance — consistent contact resistance across all pins
- ✅ Break-away — any length from 1–40 pins
Typical Applications
- IC socket for DIP packages (socketing for easy replacement)
- Module socketing for frequent removal and replacement
- Test fixture socket for repeated insertion
- High-reliability Arduino module socketing
