JST XH 2.54mm 3-Pin Single-Head Pre-Crimped Cable — 22AWG, 3A/250V
The JST XH 2.54mm 3-pin configuration is one of the most widely used connector formats in electronics — found on thermistors, RGB LED modules, servo extensions, UART breakout boards, and countless sensor assemblies. This single-head pre-crimped cable arrives with three factory-crimped XH terminals on one end, ready to insert directly into any standard JST XH 3-pin housing, while the other end is left bare for soldering, Dupont termination, or custom connector assembly.
Every crimp is produced by automated machinery to a defined pull-force specification — eliminating the cold joints, insulation damage, and inconsistent contact force that plague hand-crimped assemblies. The result is a cable that performs identically whether you're building one prototype or a hundred production units.
22AWG stranded copper wire provides the flexibility needed for tight routing while maintaining a 3A/250V rating that covers both signal and light power applications. Choose from 8 lengths and 8 wire colors to match your exact routing requirements and color-coding convention.

Why the 3-Pin XH Format Is Everywhere
Three conductors cover the most common wiring patterns in electronics: power + ground + signal (sensors, encoders, servos), differential pairs + ground (RS-485, CAN), and RGB LED control (R + G + B). The JST XH 2.54mm pitch aligns perfectly with standard 0.1-inch PCB header grids, making it the default choice for Arduino-compatible boards, Raspberry Pi HATs, and virtually every Chinese-manufactured development board. If you're building anything that connects to a PCB, there's a high probability the 3-pin XH format is involved.
Typical Applications
- 3D Printers: Thermistor leads (NTC 100K), hotend heater cartridge wiring, part cooling fan connections, filament runout sensor leads
- Arduino & Microcontrollers: I2C sensor modules (SDA/SCL/GND), UART breakout connections (TX/RX/GND), analog sensor leads
- Servo Systems: Standard servo extensions (signal/power/ground), gimbal motor connections, pan-tilt mechanism wiring
- RGB LED Modules: Common-cathode RGB LED wiring, WS2812 data chain connections, LED strip power injection
- RC & Drones: Flight controller sensor leads, GPS module connections, telemetry wiring
- Robotics: Encoder signal leads, limit switch arrays, proximity sensor connections
- Industrial & IoT: RS-485 bus connections, temperature sensor leads, panel instrument wiring
Selecting the Right Length
For internal PCB-to-PCB connections within a compact enclosure (e.g., 3D printer mainboard to hotend), 10–20cm is typically sufficient. For external sensor leads, panel-mounted connectors, or any application requiring routing around obstacles, 30–50cm provides the service loop needed for maintenance access without excess slack. For long cable runs to external modules or sensors, 60–80cm eliminates the need for extension splices.
Compatibility
Crimped terminals are compatible with JST XH series 3-pin housings (JST part: XHP-3) and all PCB headers with 2.54mm pitch XH-compatible locking geometry. The bare wire end accepts Dupont 2.54mm housings, screw terminal blocks, or direct PCB soldering. Cross-compatible with third-party XH-style connectors from Molex, TE Connectivity, and standard Chinese XH 2.54mm manufacturers.
Housing not included. This listing is for the pre-crimped wire only.
