IR Receiver Module — 38kHz, Arduino Remote Control
A compact 38kHz infrared (IR) receiver module for decoding IR remote control signals with Arduino. Compatible with NEC, RC5, Sony, and most common IR remote protocols. Outputs a digital signal directly to an Arduino digital pin — use with the IRremote Arduino library to decode any IR remote control signal in minutes.
Key Specifications
- Carrier frequency: 38kHz | Output: Digital (active LOW)
- Protocols: NEC / RC5 / Sony / Samsung / most IR remotes
- Supply voltage: 3.3–5V | Current: 1.5mA
- Reception angle: ±45° | Range: up to 18m
- Connector: 3-pin 2.54mm header (VCC / GND / OUT)
- Compliance: RoHS compliant
Why Choose This?
- ✅ Universal IR protocol support — works with most TV and appliance remotes
- ✅ IRremote library compatible — decode any IR remote in minutes
- ✅ Up to 18m range — reliable reception across a room
- ✅ 3-pin header — direct connection to Arduino digital pin
Typical Applications
- Arduino IR remote control receiver
- TV remote-controlled Arduino projects
- IR remote-controlled robot and rover
- Home automation IR command receiver
