MAX7219 8-Digit 7-Segment LED Display Module — Socketed, Red, SPI Interface
The MAX7219 8-digit 7-segment LED display module provides an 8-digit numeric display controlled by the industry-standard MAX7219 IC via a simple 3-wire SPI interface. With socketed digit tubes, individual digit tubes can be replaced if damaged — extending the service life of the module beyond what soldered displays allow.
Compatible with the popular LedControl Arduino library for easy digit control. Multiple modules can be daisy-chained for displays requiring more than 8 digits.
Key Features
- 8-digit 7-segment display — displays 8-digit numbers, hex values, and basic text
- MAX7219 driver IC — SPI interface; extensive Arduino library support
- Socketed digit tubes — replaceable for long-term serviceability
- 3-wire SPI interface — DIN, CS, CLK; only 3 GPIO pins required
- Daisy-chainable
- LedControl library compatible
