Laser Red Line Module — 650nm, 5mW, Line Beam Output for Arduino & DIY Projects
The 650nm red laser line module projects a continuous, straight red laser line rather than a dot — making it the essential component for alignment, leveling, machine vision, and laser scanning applications. The cylindrical lens inside the module spreads the laser beam into a thin, bright line that can be projected across surfaces for precise alignment and measurement.
At 5mW output power and 650nm wavelength (visible red), this module produces a clearly visible red line in normal indoor lighting conditions. The compact module format with standard 3-pin interface (VCC, GND, Signal) makes it easy to integrate into Arduino and microcontroller projects.
Key Features
- Line beam output — cylindrical lens projects a straight laser line rather than a dot
- 650nm wavelength — visible red; clearly visible in normal indoor lighting
- 5mW output power — bright, clearly visible line in indoor environments
- Compact module format — standard 3-pin interface (VCC, GND, Signal)
- Arduino and microcontroller compatible — digital on/off control via GPIO
- Stable, continuous output — consistent line brightness and position
Safety Notice
⚠️ Never point the laser at eyes or reflective surfaces. This is a Class IIIA laser product. Always follow laser safety guidelines when using this module.
Typical Applications
- Alignment and leveling — project a reference line for alignment and leveling tasks
- Machine vision and scanning — structured light line for 3D scanning and surface inspection
- Laser engraver alignment — reference line for CNC and laser engraver positioning
- DIY laser level — build a simple laser level for home improvement projects
- Arduino laser projects — laser line for interactive and art installations
