Default Title

Mini360 DC-DC Buck Converter Step-Down Module — Ultra-Compact, 1.8A

The Mini360 is an ultra-compact DC-DC step-down (buck) converter module measuring just 17×11×3.8mm — one of the smallest adjustable buck modules available. Based on the MP2307 switching regulator IC, it accepts 4.75V to 23V input and delivers an adjustable 1V to 17V output at up to 1.8A continuous current. Output voltage is set by a small onboard trimmer potentiometer. Each pack contains 2 modules.

Why Choose Mini360?

  • Ultra-compact 17×11mm — fits in the tightest spaces where larger modules won’t
  • Up to 96% efficiency — minimal heat generation even at full load
  • 340kHz switching — allows tiny external components and low output ripple
  • Wide input range (4.75–23V) — works with 5V, 9V, 12V, and 18V sources
  • Adjustable output (1–17V) — set any voltage for your specific load
  • 2-pack value — one for the project, one as spare

Typical Applications

  • Arduino / ESP32 power supply — step down 12V to 5V or 3.3V for microcontrollers
  • Raspberry Pi power — compact 5V supply from 12V battery or solar panel
  • RC vehicle onboard electronics — power servos and receivers from LiPo battery
  • LED driver — adjustable voltage for LED strip brightness control
  • Wearable electronics — ultra-small footprint for body-worn projects
  • Solar power systems — regulate solar panel output for battery charging

How to Adjust Output Voltage

Use a small flathead screwdriver to turn the trimmer potentiometer on the board while measuring output voltage with a multimeter. Turn clockwise to increase voltage, counter-clockwise to decrease. Always set the output voltage before connecting your load to avoid over-voltage damage.

FAQ

Q: Can Mini360 output 3.3V from a 5V input?
A: Yes, as long as input voltage is at least 1V higher than output. 5V input → 3.3V output works fine.

Q: What is the maximum continuous current?
A: 1.8A continuous. For loads above 1A, ensure adequate airflow as the module may warm up. Peak current is 3A but not recommended for sustained use.

Q: Is there short-circuit protection?
A: The MP2307 IC has built-in current limiting, but prolonged short circuits may damage the module. Always use a fuse on the input for protection.
