8MB (64M-bit) PSRAM — Teensy 4.1 RAM Expansion
PSRAM (Pseudo-Static RAM) combines the high density of DRAM with the simple SPI interface of SRAM, providing 8MB of fast external working memory for the Teensy 4.1. The Teensy 4.1 PCB includes a dedicated footprint for one of these chips, enabling large array storage, audio buffers, and data-intensive applications that exceed the Teensy’s 1MB internal RAM. Unlike Flash, PSRAM supports unlimited read/write cycles — ideal for real-time data buffering.
