MAX6675 K-Type Thermocouple Temperature Module — SPI, 0–1024°C
The MAX6675 thermocouple module interfaces a K-type thermocouple to Arduino via SPI, measuring temperatures from 0°C to 1024°C with 0.25°C resolution. The MAX6675 IC handles cold-junction compensation internally — simply connect a K-type thermocouple and read temperature directly. Ideal for high-temperature applications far beyond the range of standard temperature sensors.
Key Specifications
- IC: MAX6675 | Thermocouple: K-type
- Temperature range: 0–1024°C | Resolution: 0.25°C (12-bit)
- Accuracy: ±8°C | Interface: SPI (read-only)
- Cold-junction compensation: Internal
- Supply voltage: 3.3–5V
- Compliance: RoHS compliant
Why Choose This?
- ✅ 0–1024°C range — measure temperatures far beyond NTC/DHT sensor limits
- ✅ Internal cold-junction compensation — no external reference thermometer needed
- ✅ SPI interface — simple 3-wire connection to Arduino
- ✅ MAX6675 Arduino library — one-line temperature reading
Typical Applications
- Reflow oven and soldering station temperature control
- BBQ smoker and kiln temperature monitoring
- Industrial furnace and boiler temperature measurement
- 3D printer heated bed and hotend temperature
