80mm Axial Cooling Fan 12V DC — 80×80×25mm, 3-Pin PWM
A standard 80×80×25mm (80mm) axial cooling fan running on 12V DC with a 3-pin connector (VCC / GND / Tachometer). The 80mm fan is the most common size for electronics enclosures, DIY power supplies, and general-purpose cooling. Higher airflow than 40mm fans — suitable for cooling larger enclosures and heat-generating components. The tachometer output allows fan speed monitoring via Arduino or fan controller.
Key Specifications
- Size: 80×80×25mm | Voltage: 12V DC
- Connector: 3-pin (VCC / GND / Tachometer)
- Airflow: ~30–40 CFM | Noise: ~30–35 dBA
- Speed: ~2000–2500 RPM
- Mounting: 4 corner M4 screw holes
- Compliance: RoHS compliant
Fan Size Comparison
- 40mm (4010): Compact, low airflow — for tight spaces
- 80mm (this fan): Standard, good airflow — for enclosures and PSUs
- 120mm+: High airflow, low noise — for large enclosures
Tachometer Output
The 3rd pin outputs a pulse signal (2 pulses per revolution). Connect to Arduino interrupt pin to measure RPM: RPM = (pulseCount / 2) × 60
Typical Applications
- Electronics enclosure ventilation
- DIY bench power supply cooling
- PC case and server cooling
- Heatsink forced-air cooling
- Arduino fan speed monitoring project
