The ADUM3160-based USB isolator module provides galvanic isolation between a USB host (PC, laptop) and a connected USB device, breaking ground loops and protecting sensitive equipment from electrical noise, voltage spikes, and common-mode interference. Built around the Analog Devices ADuM3160 digital isolator IC, it supports USB 2.0 full speed (12Mbps) and low speed (1.5Mbps) — covering the vast majority of USB audio DACs, MIDI interfaces, measurement instruments, and data acquisition devices.
