DuPont 2.0mm Same-Side-Head Cable — 2–12 Pin, 24AWG UL1007 PVC
The Keszoox DuPont 2.0mm same-side-head cable is a pre-crimped wire harness where conductors exit from the same side as the latch of the female housing. This orientation is essential in tight enclosures and PCB layouts where cable routing must follow a specific direction — away from the PCB surface or toward the front panel — to avoid interference with adjacent components or enclosure walls.
Available in 2 to 12-pin configurations, built to UL1007 PVC standards with 24AWG stranded copper, rated at 2A / 250V AC/DC, RoHS compliant.
What Is a Same-Side-Head DuPont Cable?
In a same-side-head (also called same-side-exit or forward-exit) DuPont cable, the wire bundle exits from the same face of the housing as the latch tab. When the connector is mated to a vertical PCB pin header, the wires run perpendicular to the PCB surface and away from the board — the correct orientation when cables must exit toward the front of an enclosure, over a component, or in any direction that conflicts with flat routing along the PCB. This is the less common of the two standard DuPont cable orientations; the reverse-side-head is the default for most PCB applications.
Same-Side vs. Reverse-Side: Which Do I Need?
- Same-side-head (this product): Wires exit same side as the latch — cables route away from the PCB surface or toward the front of an enclosure. Use when flat routing along the board is not possible due to enclosure geometry or component clearance.
- Reverse-side-head: Wires exit opposite the latch — cables route flat along the PCB surface or toward the rear of an enclosure. Use for standard PCB-mounted connector wiring where cables must lie flat.
Key Features
- Same-side wire exit — conductors exit same side as the housing latch, enabling specific cable routing in constrained enclosures
- 2.0mm pitch female housing — compatible with all standard 2.0mm through-hole pin headers
- 2 to 12-pin options — covers all common multi-wire PCB wiring configurations
- 24AWG stranded copper — flexible, low-resistance, suitable for signal and low-current power lines up to 2A
- UL1007 PVC insulation — rated −25°C to +85°C, flame-retardant, RoHS compliant
- 2A / 250V rating — suitable for signal and low-current power applications
- Color-coded conductors — each wire is a distinct color for easy identification during assembly and troubleshooting
- Factory-crimped terminals — consistent crimp quality, verified pull-force retention
Common Applications
- Tight enclosure wiring where cables must exit perpendicular to the PCB surface
- Front-panel connector wiring in consumer electronics and industrial instruments
- RC and hobby electronics where cable routing clearance is limited
- Embedded systems with stacked PCB configurations requiring upward cable exit
- Custom harness assembly for space-constrained PCB layouts
