This JST XH 2.54mm 5-pin both-sided cable is the ready-to-use solution for extending or connecting 5-wire interfaces — UART with flow control, 5-wire stepper motor connections, RGB LED assemblies with dedicated power rails, and multi-sensor modules with interrupt lines. Available in Same Side (straight-through) and Reverse Side (mirrored) configurations to match the connector orientation required by your specific PCB layout.

At five conductors, the value of factory crimping becomes especially clear. Each of the ten contacts (five per end) is machine-crimped to a defined pull-force specification — the same standard used in automotive harness production. A single failed crimp in a 5-wire interface can corrupt an entire communication bus or cause a motor to misstep. Factory crimping eliminates this failure mode entirely, producing assemblies that perform consistently from the first connection to the ten-thousandth.

Same Side vs. Reverse Side — Which Do You Need?

Same Side (Straight-Through): Pin 1 connects to pin 1 at both ends. Use for UART extensions, stepper motor cable extensions, and any application where both connectors face the same direction with identical pinouts.

Reverse Side (Mirrored): Pin 1 connects to pin 5 (and pin 2 to pin 4, pin 3 to pin 3). Use when connectors face opposite directions, or when the PCB layout requires a mirrored pinout at one end.
