1-Channel Relay Module — 5V/12V/24V, Optocoupler Isolation, High/Low Trigger
This single-channel relay module with SMD optocoupler isolation allows an Arduino, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi to switch AC and DC loads up to 250V/10A using a low-voltage digital signal. The optocoupler provides electrical isolation between the control circuit and the high-voltage load circuit, protecting the microcontroller from voltage spikes and noise. Supports both high-level and low-level trigger for compatibility with any MCU output.
Electrical Specifications
- Coil Voltage: 5V / 12V / 24V (select version)
- Maximum AC Load: 250V / 10A
- Maximum DC Load: 30V / 10A
- Trigger: High level or low level (selectable)
- Isolation: SMD optocoupler — electrical isolation between control and load
- Contacts: SPDT — NO (Normally Open) and NC (Normally Closed)
- LED Indicator: Status LED for relay state
High vs Low Level Trigger
- High level trigger: Relay activates when control pin goes HIGH (3.3V or 5V) — default for most Arduino projects
- Low level trigger: Relay activates when control pin goes LOW (GND) — for active-LOW MCU outputs
Wiring
- VCC: 5V (or 12V/24V depending on version)
- GND: Ground
- IN: Control signal from Arduino digital output pin
- COM: Common terminal of relay
- NO: Normally Open — connects to COM when relay is activated
- NC: Normally Closed — connects to COM when relay is NOT activated
Typical Applications
- Smart home light switching (AC 220V)
- Arduino-controlled appliance switching
- Pump and solenoid valve control
- Temperature-controlled heating/cooling switching
- IoT home automation with ESP32/ESP8266
Single-channel, optocoupler-isolated relay module — safe and reliable AC/DC load switching for Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi projects.
