The UPS-15W module can realize seamless switching between external power supply and battery dual power supply (without delay), and is suitable for uninterrupted power supply schemes such as low-power DC equipment and meters. It starts from power failure and charges from incoming calls. The UPS-15W module integrates four practical functions: lithium battery charging, lithium battery protection, boost output and UPS switching.

Interface description: TYPE-C port and standard 5V and 5V-are external power supply ports, one of the two can be selected. The output interfaces are marked with USP and UPS. The back welding battery box is connected to the 18650 lithium battery. You can also weld wires to connect other lithium batteries.

Function Description

1. Working principle of UPS:

When the power supply has electricity, the power supply is directly supplied to the load via the boost circuit and the lithium battery is charged at the same time. 1, but the power is lost, the auto-start battery path supplies power to the load via the boost circuit.

3. Lithium battery charging part parameters:

As shown in the following figure: the red light is always on during charging, and the green light is always on when it is full, and the charging will automatically stop. The rear red light is the power supply indicator. Charge cut-off voltage 4.2V, discharge cut-off voltage 2.5V.

Note: The module is equipped with overshoot, overdischarge, overtemperature and overcurrent protection: if it enters the protection state after misoperation and short circuit, it will not output, and it will automatically activate and resume output when connected to 5V charging. Please ensure that the soldering iron used is grounded (and the row of ground wires is connected), and it is best to wear anti-static gloves.

Note:

1. If UPS wants to save energy consumption, remove the output indicator after all tests are completed, which can reduce the current of more than ten mA.

2. If the board does not switch the battery power supply quickly after the power supply is turned off, a discharge resistor of about 1K can be connected in parallel at the 5V input port.

3. If you want to increase the battery capacity of UPS module, you can use multiple parallel connections.
