KEY FEATURES OF 18PF, 100V COG MULTILAYER CERAMIC CAPACITORS:
Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors (often shortened to MLCC) are the go-to general purpose capacitors that can be used in most applications that require smaller capacitance values of ≤ 10uF.
The body is conformally coated and are of a higher quality and typically smaller size than the standard orange ceramic disc capacitors that you often see. Being a fairly small capacitor, they take up little space on a breadboard or in a circuit.
These 18pF COG caps are high precision caps with a 5% tolerance and are highly stable with almost no changes in capacitance over time or with temperature. These are typically used as load capacitors for crystals that require an 18pF load. If you order our crystals, they come with 2 of these quality caps already included.
Beware of using the cheap disc ceramic caps in this application to avoid possible issues with crystal startup.
