Arduino Ethernet Shield W5100 — SD Card Slot, RJ45
The Arduino Ethernet Shield W5100 adds wired 10/100Mbps Ethernet and a Micro SD card slot to any Arduino Uno or Mega. Built around the WIZnet W5100 chip with hardwired TCP/IP stack, it stacks directly onto the Arduino and is fully supported by the Arduino Ethernet library. The SD card slot allows data logging and file serving over the network.
Key Specifications
- Chip: WIZnet W5100 | Speed: 10/100Mbps
- Interface: SPI | Sockets: 4 independent
- Protocols: TCP / UDP / ICMP / IPv4 / ARP (hardwired)
- SD card: Micro SD slot (SPI, FAT16/FAT32)
- Connector: RJ45 with integrated magnetics and LEDs
- Compatible: Arduino Uno / Mega / Leonardo
- Compliance: RoHS compliant
Why Choose This?
- ✅ Direct Arduino shield stack — no wiring needed, plug onto Arduino Uno/Mega
- ✅ Arduino Ethernet library compatible — extensive tutorials and community support
- ✅ Micro SD card slot — log data to SD and serve files over Ethernet
- ✅ Hardwired TCP/IP — minimal MCU overhead for network processing
Typical Applications
- Arduino wired Ethernet web server and IoT projects
- Network-connected data logging with SD card storage
- Industrial Ethernet sensor and control nodes
- Home automation with reliable wired network connection
