GUVA-S12SD UV Light Sensor Module — Analog Output, Arduino
The GUVA-S12SD UV sensor module measures ultraviolet (UV) light intensity in the 240–370nm wavelength range and outputs an analog voltage proportional to UV intensity. Convert the analog output to a UV index (0–11+) using a simple formula in Arduino. Ideal for weather stations, UV exposure monitoring, and sunscreen effectiveness testing.
Key Specifications
- Sensor: GUVA-S12SD | Wavelength: 240–370nm (UV-A + UV-B)
- Output: Analog voltage (0–1V proportional to UV intensity)
- Supply voltage: 3.3–5V | Current: 0.1mA
- UV index range: 0–11+ (calculated from output voltage)
- Compliance: RoHS compliant
Why Choose This?
- ✅ 240–370nm range — covers both UV-A and UV-B bands
- ✅ Analog output — direct connection to Arduino analog input
- ✅ UV index calculation — simple formula converts voltage to UV index
- ✅ 3.3V/5V compatible — works with Arduino Uno, ESP32 and Raspberry Pi
Typical Applications
- Arduino weather station UV index measurement
- UV exposure monitoring and sunburn warning
- Sunscreen effectiveness testing
- UV sterilization monitoring
