DESCRIPTION
These are 1×14 single row male headers with double insulator and selective gold plating for stacking boards.

KEY FEATURES OF HEADER MALE 1×14 DOUBLE INSULATOR WITH SELECTIVE GOLD:
- 1×14 Male header with standard 2.54mm (0.1″) spacing
- Double insulators provides a built in 8.5mm spacer for vertically mounting 2 boards.
- Selectively plated with 7mm long gold male pins and tin solder pins
These are commonly used for making mounting Teensy Audio Adapters or other boards to Teensy microcontroller boards.
When mounting two boards, it is easiest to insert the long male header pins into a solderless breadboard to keep the headers aligned. The top board is then inserted into the top pins and soldered in place.
The assembly can then be removed from the breadboard and turned over. The bottom board is placed over the long gold header pins and soldered into place on the bottom side of the board.
Alternatively, this header can be plugged into a female header where extra spacing is required between boards or if it is desired to make the assemblies removable as is being down here with a Teensy 4.1 and OctoWS2811 Adapter.
