These are especially handy for using as jumpers between points on a solderless breadboard.

These are made out of 22 AWG wire and can be reused multiple times when wiring solderless breadboard circuits.  They are also handy for soldering onto PCB style prototyping boards for permanent wiring applications.

The benefit of these U-Shaped jumpers over the ribbon cable type that we sell is that these are a little heavier gauge and they lay close to the board with minimal extra length. The ribbon cable style are easier to quickly make jumpered connections.

We often use this type of jumper for wiring power and ground on breadboards while using the ribbon cable jumper type for signal routing.  They also work well when constructing a semi-permanent circuit as they are less likely to be bumped and knocked loose compared to the ribbon cable style.
