LCD2004 20×4 Character LCD Display with I2C Adapter — Blue Backlight
The LCD2004 with I2C adapter — a 20-character × 4-line HD44780 character LCD with a PCF8574 I2C backpack pre-soldered. Display 80 characters of text, numbers, and custom characters using only 2 wires (SDA + SCL). The largest standard character LCD available with I2C interface — ideal for displaying multiple sensor readings, menus, and status information simultaneously.
Key Specifications
- Display: 20 characters × 4 lines | Controller: HD44780
- Interface: I2C via PCF8574 | I2C address: 0x27 (default, adjustable)
- Supply: 3.3–5V | Backlight: Blue with white characters
- Contrast: Adjustable via on-board potentiometer
- Library: LiquidCrystal_I2C (Arduino)
- Compliance: RoHS compliant
Why LCD2004 I2C?
- ✅ 80 characters across 4 lines — display temperature, humidity, pressure, and time simultaneously
- ✅ Only 2 wires — SDA + SCL, freeing Arduino pins for sensors and actuators
- ✅ Pre-soldered I2C backpack — ready to use, no soldering required
- ✅ LiquidCrystal_I2C library — same code as LCD1602 I2C, just change dimensions
Typical Applications
- Multi-sensor data display (4 readings simultaneously)
- Arduino menu system with 4-line navigation
- Weather station display (temperature, humidity, pressure, time)
- Industrial controller 4-line status panel
- Data logger real-time status display
