Electret Condenser Microphone 4mm with Leads — Omnidirectional
A compact 4mm electret condenser microphone capsule with pre-soldered leads for easy integration into audio circuits, Arduino projects, and custom microphone builds. The omnidirectional polar pattern picks up sound equally from all directions, making it ideal for voice detection, sound level monitoring, and general audio capture applications.
The pre-soldered leads eliminate the need for soldering directly to the tiny capsule pads, making this microphone easy to use in breadboard prototyping and custom PCB designs. Compatible with all standard electret microphone preamplifier circuits including MAX4466, MAX9812, and LM386-based designs.
Key Specifications
- Capsule diameter: 4mm | Polar pattern: Omnidirectional
- Sensitivity: -42dB ±3dB (at 1kHz, 1Pa) | Frequency response: 20Hz–20kHz
- Operating voltage: 1.5V–10V DC | Current consumption: <0.5mA
- Signal-to-noise ratio: >58dB | Output impedance: <2.2kΩ
- Leads: Pre-soldered, color-coded (VCC/GND)
Typical Applications
- Arduino sound detection and voice trigger projects
- Custom microphone preamplifier circuits (MAX4466, LM386)
- Sound level monitoring and noise detection
- Intercom and voice communication systems
- Toy and consumer electronics microphone replacement
- DIY condenser microphone builds
