Molex KK 254 / KF2510 2.54mm Reverse-Side-Head Cable — 2P to 12P
The KF2510 reverse-side-head cable features Molex KK 254 compatible housings on both ends, with wires exiting from opposite sides of the two connectors. This is the standard configuration for harness extensions and daisy-chain wiring where the cable reverses direction between two boards. Available in 2P to 12P at 2.54mm pitch.

- Locking: Positive latch housing on both ends
- Compliance: RoHS compliant; UL-certified wire
Reverse-Side vs. Same-Side: Which Do I Need?
- Reverse-side-head (this product): Wires exit from opposite faces on each connector. The standard harness extension format — use when the cable needs to reverse direction between two boards, or when connecting two headers that face away from each other.
- Same-side-head: Wires exit from the same face on both connectors. Use for stacked board assemblies where both headers face the same direction.
- Single-head: One connector, one bare wire end. Use for wire-to-board termination.
Typical Applications
- Harness extension cables between PCBs in separate enclosure sections
- 3D printer motherboard to stepper driver extension
- CNC machine control panel to main board wiring
- Industrial sensor daisy-chain harnesses
- Robotics inter-module wiring where boards face opposite directions
- Test fixture extension cables for production testing
Compatibility
Mates with all standard 2.54mm / 0.1" pitch PCB headers including Molex KK 254 Series 4030, 42375, 42376, 42377, 6373, 6410, generic KF2510, and Harwin M20. Not compatible with JST XH (2.5mm pitch).
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What does "reverse-side-head" mean?
A: The wires exit from opposite faces on the two connector housings. When you hold the cable with both connectors facing you, one opens toward you and the other opens away from you. This is the standard extension cable orientation.
Q: Is reverse-side-head the same as a "straight-through" extension cable?
A: Yes. Reverse-side-head cables maintain pin-to-pin continuity (pin 1 to pin 1) and are the correct choice for extending an existing KF2510 / KK 254 harness.
Q: What is the maximum current per pin?
A: 3A per contact with 22AWG UL1007 wire.
Q: Can I use this for high-temperature wiring near a 3D printer hotend?
A: UL1007 PVC is rated to 80°C. For hotend or heated bed proximity, use our UL3239 silicone variant rated to 200°C.
