Molex 51006 Male Single-Head Pre-Crimped Cable — MX 2.0mm, 2–12 Pin, 22AWG

A Molex 51006-compatible male housing on one end, bare tinned leads on the other — the counterpart to the 51005 female pigtail. Use this cable to create a wire-side male plug that mates with a Molex 51005 female receptacle, or to extend a harness where a male MX 2.0mm connector is required at the wire end.

Available in 2P through 12P. Color-coded conductors for instant polarity identification. 22AWG UL1007 PVC rated at 300V / 3A per contact — suitable for both signal and low-power wiring in RC, IoT, and embedded applications.

Key Specifications

  • Connector: Molex MX 2.0mm male housing (51006-compatible), 2.0mm pitch
  • Pin counts: 2 to 12 pin
  • Wire: 22AWG UL1007 PVC, color-coded conductors
  • Voltage rating: 300 V | Current rating: 3A per contact
  • Temperature range: −25°C to +80°C
  • Termination: Male housing one end, bare tinned leads other end
  • Compliance: RoHS

Typical Applications

  • 🔋 RC / FPV: Wire-side male connector for custom battery leads, ESC wiring, and receiver harnesses using the Micro Losi / MX 2.0mm standard
  • 📡 IoT & Embedded: Male-side harness for sensor modules, MCU boards, and compact embedded systems
  • 🔧 Prototyping: Rapid male-side harness assembly — plug into 51005 female receptacle, solder bare leads to PCB or terminal
  • 🏭 Industrial: Male wire-side connector for compact DIN-rail module wiring
  • 🩺 Wearables: Low-current male-side connections in portable and wearable devices

Compatibility Note

This cable's male housing mates with Molex 51005 female receptacles (2.0mm pitch). It is not compatible with JST PH 2.0mm receptacles despite identical pitch — housing geometry and latch mechanism differ. For JST PH applications, see our JST PH 2.0mm cable range.

Female vs Male — Which Do I Need?

  • Female single-head (51005): Wire-side plug that connects to a PCB-mounted 51006 header — the most common RC battery pigtail configuration
  • Male single-head (this product): Wire-side plug that connects to a wire-side 51005 female receptacle — used for harness-to-harness connections or custom cable assemblies
