Expect customization orders.Low cost entry-level 3 1/2 digit multimeter
The DT-9205M is a low cost entry-level 3 1/2 digit multimeter that can be used to get started with prototyping and testing electronics.
This is not a lab quality multimeter by any stretch, but the DT-9025M does all the basic measurements that are typically needed for basic electronics work and at a very low cost. If you are starting out and don’t yet have a meter, this is a good starting point. If you decide to upgrade to a better meter in the future, this one is perfect to go into the toolbox for use where you don’t want to take your more expensive meter like for working on the car.
The measurement ranges are comparable to more expensive meters and the accuracy is fairly decent. One of the pics shows an example of the meter DCV accuracy compared to a 4 1/2 digit lab meter. This accuracy is fine for general work.
The meter has auto power off when unused for awhile which is a nice feature to help conserve the battery. An over-range condition shows a ‘1’ which makes it easy to identify when a higher range needs to be selected.
The meter comes with a pair of inexpensive test leads and has a battery installed so that it works out of the box. There is an Operators Instruction Manual in English which is sufficient to get up and running with the meter.
It is extremely light for its relatively large size.
…. and yes, it is a sexy shade of green and yellow.
