High Sensitivity Microphone Sound Detector Module — Digital Output, Arduino Compatible
A high sensitivity microphone sound detector module with digital output, optimized for detecting faint sounds and quiet environments where standard sensitivity modules may miss triggers. The high-sensitivity electret microphone capsule and precision comparator circuit provide a clean digital output when sound exceeds the adjustable threshold, making it ideal for clap switches, voice-activated triggers, and security alarm applications.
The adjustable sensitivity potentiometer allows fine-tuning of the detection threshold from very quiet (detecting whispers) to moderate sound levels. Compatible with 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers including Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi.
Key Specifications
- Output: Digital (DO) | Sensitivity: High (adjustable via potentiometer)
- Operating voltage: 3.3V–5V DC | Current consumption: <15mA
- Digital output: HIGH when sound exceeds threshold, LOW when quiet
- Indicator LEDs: Power LED + digital output status LED
- Connector: 3-pin 2.54mm header (VCC / GND / DO)
Why Choose High Sensitivity?
- ✅ High sensitivity capsule — detects faint sounds missed by standard sensitivity modules
- ✅ Adjustable threshold — fine-tune sensitivity for your specific environment
- ✅ Clean digital output — direct connection to Arduino digital input, no ADC needed
- ✅ Status LED — visual feedback for output state during setup and debugging
- ✅ 3.3V/5V compatible — works with Arduino, ESP32, STM32, and Raspberry Pi
Typical Applications
- Clap-activated switch and light control
- Voice-activated trigger projects
- Security alarm and intrusion detection
- Sound-triggered photography and video
- Smart home automation sound triggers
- Baby monitor and quiet environment sound detection
