For use with MG995/MG996 and similar servos

DESCRIPTION

This wheel is designed to attach to a standard 25-spline continuous rotation servo like our MG995 360 Degree Continuous Rotation Servo to create a motorized platform.

OUR EVALUATION RESULTS:

The wheel is constructed of a strong nylon plastic with a removable soft outer rubber band (tire) to help provide better traction.

It is designed like a giant servo horn, so the center of the wheel has splines that mate with the servo and it is attached using the screw included with the servo for attaching horns.

A continuous rotation servo and this wheel provides a fairly easy way to add drive wheels to a platform and does not require special driver electronics like a DC motor requires.  The downside is that the speed is usually fixed, though it can sometimes be slowed down using different PWM values.  With the MG995 360 degree servo running at full speed of 50 RPM, this wheel will travel about 35 feet per minute.
