SOIC / TSSOP-24 to DIP-24 Adapter PCB — HASL Finish, 5-Pack
The SOIC/TSSOP-24 to DIP-24 adapter PCB lets you prototype and test surface-mount ICs on standard breadboards and through-hole prototype PCBs. Solder your SOIC-24 or TSSOP-24 package IC onto this adapter board, and it becomes fully compatible with standard 2.54mm (0.1") breadboards and DIP-24 sockets — no SMD rework station required for prototyping.
Supplied in a 5-pack with HASL (Hot Air Solder Leveling) surface finish — a cost-effective, reliable finish for SOIC-24 (1.27mm pitch) soldering.
Key Features
- Dual footprint — accepts both SOIC-24 (1.27mm pitch) and TSSOP-24 (0.65mm pitch) package ICs on the same board
- DIP-24 output — 2.54mm (0.1") pitch through-hole pins, compatible with all standard breadboards and DIP-24 sockets
- HASL surface finish — tin-plated pads, cost-effective and reliable for SOIC-24 soldering
- FR4 substrate — rigid, dimensionally stable, rated for standard soldering temperatures
- 5-pack quantity — ideal for prototyping multiple ICs or keeping spares
- RoHS compliant
Typical Applications
- Prototyping SOIC-24 and TSSOP-24 ICs on breadboards
- Testing SMD ICs in DIP-socket-based development rigs
- Converting SMD-only ICs for use in through-hole prototype PCBs
- Logic IC (74HC series, 24-pin) and interface IC breadboard testing
- Microcontroller and memory IC prototyping

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the difference between HASL and ENIG finish?
A: HASL (tin-plated) is more economical and works well for SOIC-24 (1.27mm pitch). For TSSOP-24 (0.65mm fine pitch), ENIG is preferred for its flatter, more solderable surface. If you primarily work with SOIC-24 ICs, HASL is a cost-effective choice.
Q: Do I need to add pin headers?
A: Yes. Solder your SMD IC onto the top pads, then solder standard 2.54mm male pin headers into the DIP through-holes to make the adapter breadboard-compatible.
