Tactile Momentary Pushbutton Switch — No Cap, 12×12×7.3mm, 4-Pin Breadboard (5-Pack)
These 12×12×7.3mm tactile momentary pushbutton switches are the capless version of the standard 12mm pushbutton — lower profile, smaller footprint, and ready to accept any snap-on cap color you choose. The 4-pin through-hole design fits directly into a solderless breadboard on standard 0.1" spacing, and the snap-action mechanism provides a satisfying audible click. Use these when you want to add your own cap, need a lower profile, or are mounting directly to a PCB. Pack of 5.
Electrical Specifications
- Contact Style: Normally Open (NO) — momentary closure when pressed
- Terminals: 4-pin (2 pairs of internally connected pins)
- Tested Ratings: Up to 1A @ 32V DC (contact resistance <0.01Ω after testing)
- Action: Snap-action with audible click
- Cap: None (capless — accepts standard 12mm snap-on caps)
- Body Dimensions: 12 × 12 × 7.3mm (0.47 × 0.47 × 0.29")
- Lead Spacing: 5.08mm × 12.7mm (0.2" × 0.5") — breadboard compatible
- Pack Quantity: 5 switches
4-Pin Layout — How It Works
- Pins 1 & 2 (one side): internally connected
- Pins 3 & 4 (other side): internally connected
- Press button: all 4 pins connected
- Connect one side to Arduino digital input (INPUT_PULLUP), other side to GND
Typical Applications
- Custom cap color: Add your own snap-on cap in any color (red, green, blue, yellow, white, black)
- Low-profile PCB mount: 7.3mm body height for space-constrained PCB designs
- Arduino prototyping: Standard pushbutton for breadboard circuits
- Perf board projects: Through-hole mounting on perfboard with 0.1" grid
- Spare switches: Stock of capless switches for repair and replacement
Package Contents
- 5 × Tactile momentary pushbutton switch (no cap, 12×12×7.3mm body)
Capless 12mm pushbutton body — low profile, breadboard-friendly, accepts any snap-on cap color. Pack of 5 for custom color-coded button panels.
