The TP4056 charger module is the most popular single-cell Li-ion battery charger for DIY projects — providing a complete constant-current/constant-voltage (CC/CV) charging solution for 3.7V Li-ion and LiPo cells (18650, 21700, pouch cells) from a USB power source. The TP4056 IC implements the standard Li-ion charging profile: charges at 1A constant current until cell reaches 4.2V, then switches to constant voltage until current drops to ~50mA (full charge). LED indicators show charging (red) and full (blue/green) status.
