Function:
Pin change: Two I2C pins (SDA and SCL, just copy of Analog4 and 5, not extra 12C interface) are added next to AREF pins. In addition, two pins are added next to RESET, one is IOREF, which allows the expansion board to use the onboard voltage. This pin only tells the expansion board what the current onboard voltage is (for example, UNO is 5V, which can be regarded as copy of power pins, but does not provide flat pull-up). The other pin is to be used later.
A more stable REST circuit. The RESET key position has also changed, and it has been moved to the corner of the board near the USB interface, which is more convenient to press.
ATmega16U2 replaces 8U2, which doesn't mean that R3 with 16k flash can make your code run faster. This update is a USB interface chip service, which theoretically allows UNO to simulate USB HID, such as MIDI/Joystick/Keyboard.
