WS2812B Addressable RGB LED Stick Module — 8 LEDs, 5V, Arduino NeoPixel
A WS2812B addressable RGB LED stick module with 8 LEDs in a linear row — controlled via a single data wire from Arduino. Each of the 8 LEDs is individually addressable with any of 16.7 million colors. The stick format is ideal for LED bar graphs, VU meters, progress bars, and linear LED animations. Chain multiple sticks for longer LED bars. Compatible with Adafruit NeoPixel and FastLED libraries.
Key Specifications
- LEDs: 8 WS2812B RGB LEDs in a row
- Control: Single-wire (800kHz NZR protocol)
- Supply: 5V | Current: ~480mA max (all 8 LEDs full white)
- Colors: 16.7 million per LED (8-bit per channel)
- Chainable: Yes (DOUT → DIN of next module)
- Connector: 3-pin 2.54mm header (5V / DIN / GND) + DOUT
- Library: Adafruit NeoPixel / FastLED (Arduino)
- Compliance: RoHS compliant
LED Stick vs Single LED Module
- LED Stick (this module): 8 LEDs pre-arranged in a row — ready for bar graph and VU meter use
- Single LED module: 1 LED — build custom arrangements by chaining
Power Note
At full white brightness, 8 LEDs draw ~480mA. Use a dedicated 5V power supply (not Arduino 5V pin) for full brightness operation.
Typical Applications
- Arduino LED bar graph and VU meter
- Progress bar and loading indicator display
- Linear LED animation and effects
- RGB level indicator for audio and sensor data
- Wearable electronics LED strip
